With the month-long observance of Ramadan having recently wrapped up, Google has released a special edition of it’s YouTube Leaderboard for Ramadan 2020.
“Ramadan has always embodied family, spiritual reflection, self-improvement, and worship,” said Google in a statement.
“This has not changed with the current climate of social distancing. In this special edition of the Ramadan Ads Leaderboard, brands weaved these values into powerful stories that reflected new consumer realities. The spots by Vivo and Adabi Malaysia, for instance, highlight how families can stay connected, even when apart, through the use of technology. In these unprecedented times, brands that helped to preserve the spirit, values, and traditions of Ramadan have captured the hearts and minds of consumers.”

The YouTube Ramadan Ads Leaderboard is a list of the top 10 most popular video ads across Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Pakistan screened during the Ramadan period from April 2020 to May 2020. In no particular order, the list is determined using some of YouTube’s strongest signals of viewer choice – including factors like organic views and user retention, said Google.
