Last month, branding agency DesignStudio appointed former Interbrand Sydney managing director David Storey to lead its business across the Asia Pacific.
Storey took the role left vacant by Mark Liney who returned to the UK to head up DesignStudio’s London operations after building out the agency’s client list in the region.
At the time of his hiring, Paul Stafford, DesignStudio CEO said of the agency and Storey’s role: “We have ambitious plans to grow our presence across APAC and I’m delighted that David has joined us to drive that effort.”
We recently caught up with David Storey on Zoom for a chat about his new gig, his thoughts on unique aspects of the APAC market, how COVID has affected consumers, creativity, staff management, and more.
“This business has done some incredible things over the last 12 years in terms of its operations, but more so that they’ve created the conditions in not only this business but their client’s business to grow through the power of creativity,” Storey told us.
“For me, that’s not only admirable but it’s something that society needs far more of these days.”
