Earlier this month Coca-Cola announced the launch of Orange Vanilla Coke in North America, marking the introduction of the first new flavor for its original drink in more than a decade.
The brand’s first campaign for the new product launched today with, as Coke describes it on their YouTube page a “Vrrrrrrroooooom vroom. Honk. Screeeeeeeech. Honk Honk. Skrrrrrrrrrrt. Crash.”
We couldn’t have described this 1970s TV car chase better ourselves. Check out the smashing intro campaign created by Wieden & Kennedy Portland.
“We wanted to bring back positive memories of carefree summer days,” said Coca-Cola Brand Director Kate Carpenter. “That’s why we leaned into the orange-vanilla flavor combination β which is reminiscent of the creamy orange popsicles we grew up loving.”

According to Coca-Cola research, Orange-Vanilla beat out raspberry, lemon, and ginger in taste tests conducted by the company.
We’re looking forward to tasting it over here in Asia soon, though no word yet on when that will become a reality.
